10am - 11.30am All abilities welcome @ Bacchus Marsh Leisure Centre
Skaters will be divided into two groups based on their skill level. Multiple coaches present.
Beginners - new to skating, still wobbly, falling a lot, holding on.
Confident rollers - able to skate independently with minimum falls, able to slow down and stop.
What will we learn? Roller skating is not just rolling forward… there is so much more! We’ll explore:
skating backwards,
transitions, turns,
the many stopping techniques
dance moves
anything else upon request :)
The last 30 minutes is fun activity together as a group and free skating.

We are available for private roller skating lessons during the school holidays! Whether your child is a beginner eager to learn the basics or an aspiring skater ready to master new tricks, these personalised sessions offer the perfect opportunity to develop skills in a fun and safe environment.

School Holiday Ramp Workshop: Rampfest × Princess on Skates
Ready to roll up a ramp for the very first time? Join us for a one-off, rare collab with Rampfest these school holidays! This beginner-friendly workshop (ages 7+ and adults welcome) is your chance to learn the basics of skating ramps in a super supportive, small-group setting—then keep the good times going with extra park time.
What’s included
1-hour coached workshop on ramps: stance, safety, pumping, balance, and rolling in/out
2 hours of free skating in the park to practice your new skills
Roller skate + pads hire included (bring your own if you prefer)
Multiple coaches & small groups for heaps of 1:1 attention
Beginner friendly — no ramp experience needed
Price: $39.95 per person (3 hours total park time)
Who it’s for
Absolute beginners on ramps, confident rink cruisers curious about ramps, parents who want to try alongside their kids, and anyone keen for a school-holiday thrill in a safe, guided environment.
Why this is special
This is a one-off, rare opportunity to learn ramps with the Princess on Skates team inside Melbourne’s iconic Rampfest—spots are limited and will go fast.
Bring: comfy clothes, long socks, and a water bottle, skates and pads if you have them
Age: 7+ (adults encouraged!).
Inline skates: byo inline skates are welcome, however the heel brakes must be removed for ramp use

First timers / New Skaters CLASS

For kids who are brand new, or still holding on to something while they skate.

Ballarat Roller Disco (cancelled)
After much thought and with a very heavy heart, I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel next week’s Ballarat Roller Disco.
This wasn’t easy—if you know me, you know I almost never cancel anything I’ve planned. I absolutely love skating, creating joyful events, and bringing our skate community together. But the truth is, I’ve been overworking myself this past month, and the physical and mental exhaustion has caught up with me.
As much as it pains me to press pause, I need to scale things back to protect my wellbeing—and because of the travel distance, Ballarat is the one event I’ve had to let go for now.
I want to thank you sincerely for your support. Whether you’ve been to our past events or were gearing up for your first disco with us, it means the world to have your enthusiasm and presence.
This isn’t goodbye forever. It’s just a pause—and we absolutely hope to return to Ballarat in the future, when the time is right.

Our Family Roller Disco sessions offer a unique, family-focused experience that goes beyond what you’d find at a typical roller skating rink. Unlike the busy atmosphere of most rinks, we keep our groups small and friendly, creating a relaxed environment where everyone can skate at their own pace. Our team is there to offer guided support, helping beginners gain confidence while encouraging everyone to have fun.
